MEET KELSIE HUNT

Hi, I'm Kelsie Hunt—founder of Hunting for Hope and a pre-licensed professional counselor based in Bozeman, Montana. I offer both virtual therapy sessions and in-person at my office in Bozeman.
My practice operates on a sliding scale basis and I do not accept insurance, please see the Contact and Cost tab for an explanation as to why. For those experiencing financial hardship, I’m open to discussing pro bono options. You can find current pricing under the "Contact" tab.

A little bit about myself, I am the proud wife of a disabled Army combat veteran—the person who, in many ways, inspired the heart behind this practice and is the greatest man I have ever known. Because of him, I saw first hand the loss Veterans face, the lack of care they are given when they are removed from duty, especially with the endless wait times from the VA and that only escalates the insufferable silence that haunts them when they go home unsure of what to do or who to be. So this fueled me to do more. To show up.  Educating, advocating and offering help to those who served us with selflessness. I understand what the depths of depression look like, the nightmares, the loss of identity and isolation plus the crippling addiction. What its like to try and get into civilian routines in your home, with your family and at a new job. I also understand that asking for help and seeking therapy goes against what you were taught so I am patient, I understand the weariness, the fear of judgement or misunderstanding and I welcome you still, just as you are, dark humor and all!

To others outside of service, I have walked many paths in my life which led me to surviving abusive relationships. I’ve experienced homelessness. I grew up in a conservative Christian community surrounded by addiction and because of this I understand how to build yourself up from the bottom. I understand family estrangement and breaking free from years of trauma and generations of patterns that no longer work.

These experiences shaped me—and they’ve taught me to meet others with empathy instead of judgment.

If you’ve found your way here, I want you to know: you matter. Whether you're feeling lost, overwhelmed, or just unsure of your next step, you are welcome in this space and there is hope for you.

ONE OF THE BEST!
“Kelsie’s amazing insights that help individuals with past traumas and their unprocessed emotions. This is also great with couples who need help communicating and creating habits that help them grow together. Knowledgeable and dedicated, one of the best!”
